8vo; Sewn, 54p. , 3 fold map. **The ship Whampoa sailed 30 Oct. 1862 to 3 March 1863. The lacking map segment covers the trip around the Cape of Good Hope, 19 Dec. To 15 January. Four page manuscript account in a letter to their cousin Ellen Goodnow. Two and a half pages are by Hepzibeth and the balance, written ina small hand by husband Henry. "Hepzi's" letter is dated Indian Ocean, Feb. 25, 1863 and Henry's letter is dated the 26th. Her's is 30 lines perpage while his is 54 lines per page.
